Genesis and Growth...

St. Thomas Training College (STTC) was established by the Mar Thoma Church Educational Society (MTCES) in June 2005, to chisel teachers who drive the journeys of today and write the stories of tomorrow. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Affiliation No:FKL/SEC/N/247/SRO/NCTE/2004-2005/762 dt.23-2-05. It is situated at St. Thomas Nagar, Mukkolakkal, a sprawling educational campus in sylvan surroundings on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city, 13 kms from the city. We give emphasis not only for academics but offers a plethora of options for co-curricular activities for the all-round development of each student. The college has a team of well-qualified and dedicated teachers. Within the campus there are 3 sister institutions- St. Thomas Residential School, St. Thomas Central School and St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, adding to the aura of educational milieu.  Soaring far and higher, St.Thomas Group of institutions have extended its lineage and legacy by establishing St.Thomas Institute of Science and Technology and St. Thomas Public School at Chanthavila and for the tiny tots, St.Thomas Play School at Kumarapuram.

STTC offers five optional subjects (English, Mathematics, Natural Science, Physical Science and Social Science) for B.Ed with 50 seats, with an intake of 10 in each subject. There are ten teaching staffs including the Principal and two part-time teachers.
